If you know the meaning of love,
then hate; you know for sure,
yet neither bitter hate nor honest true love,
have a remedy or an ultimate cure.
yes! hate is a sickness of the mind,
and the heart is sickened by love,
yet we love to hate those we hate,
and we hate to hate those we love!
many have hated and hopelessly loved,
so many times through the days of their lives,
and tried to vanquish those two mighty feelings,
by sex or pills or pointed sharp knives.
many a time I prayed for guidance,
then answers came straight from above,
the cure of hate is graceful forgiveness,
and the cure of love is simply: another love!
